Air Bubbles (Paint Foaming)
Temporary or permanent flaw in the film of the applied paint or of a coating, caused by the retention of air or the solvent vapours.CAUSES: Application of paint or coating in adverse application conditions (temperatures too high, drafts, etc.). Use of inadequate solvents for the circumstances of application. The application surface is overly porous. Defective mixing or homogenization of the product during its preparation.
TREATMENT: Properly prepare the surface, eliminating its porosity as much as possible by applying a Primer, Undercoat primer or Prime coating. Do not paint in areas with high air circulation. Use the indicated diluent in the application circumstances for the dilution of the product. After preparation of the product, allow it to rest until the air bubbles completely disappear (paint foaming).
